Elvis - lost cat

Update (Sept. 14): Elvis came back home! (see Brendan’s comment below the story).

We got this email from our reader Brendan:

“Our cat Elvis went missing last night from our house at 5012 Kingsessing Avenue. He is a very fluffy orange tabby mix, with white front paws, a white chest, and an enormous orange tail. He is about 2 years old, very docile, and has no outdoor experience. Elvis is very friendly, but shy with strangers. He answers to his name, and meows like a kitten.”

If you’ve seen Elvis please call Brendan at: 267-597-9679.

Kitten missing from 49th & Larchwood

Posted on 10 September 2011 by WPL

Missing kittenNeighbor Elisha is searching for her kitten named George:

“My 5-month old kitten, George, got out sometime yesterday and is now missing from 502 S 49th St.

George is about half grown and is SUPER friendly. He’s an orange tiger. The most distinguishing feature is that the markings on his side are spots instead of the usual stripes – he almost looks like leopard print.

George loves people, so even though he’s probably scared he should be approachable.”

If anyone sees him, please call Elisha at 585-610-9024 or email: eicolter [at] gmail.com

Lost male tabby cat (46th & Pine). Update: Found!

Posted on 31 August 2011 by WPL

Tabby cat missingUpdate (Sept. 7): We learned that Hickory was reunited with his family two days ago.

This information comes from the missing cat’s owners who live near 46th and Pine:

We are searching for our cat, Hickory. He has been missing for over a week now – he is a wanderer so we weren’t too worried at first but he sometimes strays far and I’m wondering if he got lost or someone took him in mistakenly.

He is black and grey striped with white on chest and paws (I think he is brown as well, but my son thinks just grey), with green eyes.

He usually wears a collar with his name and phone # but I wonder if it came off. He is very friendly and will usually approach people. He is micro-chipped.

If you have seen him or think you have seen him, please let us know. You can call 215-510-7067 and speak to Al. Thanks, he is very much missed.

Lost grey & white cat, 4200 block of Osage

Ziggy, grey & white cat missing
Ziggy.

From Linda Lee:

Ziggy is a very friendly indoor-outdoor cat, mostly grey, with white markings, missing from the 4200 block of Osage.  If you have seen him (or can capture him), please contact his owner (sarah.e.lopez [at] gmail.com) and also email me back (lml3 [at] verizon.net). I don’t think he’s wearing a collar.  Possible that he’s been picked up by someone, or may be trapped inside a building/basement, or injured. -LL
