Music, Food, and 90+ Vendors: “Larger than ever” Spruce Hill May Fair hits Clark Park May 9

The annual Spruce Hill May Fair, the biggest fundraising event for the Spruce Hill Community Association (SHCA), will be held in Clark Park (43rd and Chester) this Saturday, May 9, 12-6 p.m..

This year’s May Fair is expected to be “larger and livelier than ever,” according to the organizers. It will feature:

Live music throughout the day, featuring Mad Beatz Philly, Ants on a Log, Settlement Music School Jazz Ensemble, Upholstery, and Steady State.

Family friendly activities, including a Petting Zoo, moon bounce and obstacle course, free kids games, and Stacey’s Face Painting.

More than 90 vendors, showcasing local artisans, crafters, and small businesses offering novel gifts and unique goods (just in time for Mother’s Day), alongside community organizations and services. In addition to the many returning vendors, more than 35 new vendors will be participating in May Fair for the first time.

$1 Raffle, Special Day of Fair $5 Raffle, and Silent Auction. You can still purchase raffle tickets online – for a chance to win one of the baskets full of prizes generously donated by local businesses. Online raffle sales close Friday, May 8 at 5 p.m. Otherwise, stop by the Spruce Hill booth on the Day of the Fair to purchase your tickets.

A wide variety of food trucks, including 215 Flavors, Lil’ Pop Shop, Rafas Cocina, Thai It Up, UPenn Gyro, and What’s on the Grill.

SHCA Booth where you can purchase zoo and bounce house tickets, peruse raffle prizes and buy tickets, purchase t-shirts, sign up or renew your membership, learn about current SHCA activities including Spruce Up Grants and Historic Preservation, and much more.
