Get ready for Summer 2026: University City District’s full event lineup

Summer is just around the corner and the University City District has unveiled a schedule of live events in the neighborhood. From the return of the Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll to outdoor movies in Clark Park, here’s what’s in store for the next four months.

Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll
June 4 and September 3 | 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The stretch of Baltimore Avenue between 40th and 51st Street will once again transform for the Dollar Stroll. Neighborhood businesses and community vendors will offer $1, $3, and $5 deals on everything from signature bites and pet supplies to theater tickets. In addition, expect live music and local arts and crafts scattered along the avenue. Go here for more details.

University City Dining Days
July 16 – July 26

The popular “3 Courses, 3 Prices” promotion returns this July. It’s the perfect opportunity to visit local staples and discover new international flavors—from Ethiopian and Indian to Korean and Vietnamese—at discounted set prices. Keep an eye on the official Dining Days page for the full list of participating restaurants as the dates approach.

Movies in Clark Park: “The Summer of Freedom”
Fridays in August | Films start at dusk

In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, this year’s outdoor movie series at Clark Park centers on the theme of “Freedom.” Here’s the schedule:

August 7: A League of Their Own (1992)
August 14: Harriet (2019)
August 21: Zootopia 2 (2025)
August 28: The Matrix (1999)
Rain Date: September 4

University City Summer Series
Select Thursdays | The Lawn at uCity Square (37th and Cuthbert)

UCD is partnering with the Philadelphia Music Alliance to bring free live music to uCity Square. Each event kicks off with a DJ set at 5 p.m., followed by the headliners at 6:30 p.m.:

June 25: Johnny Showcase & Friends
July 30: Worldtown Soundsystem Collective
August 27: Lady Alma and Band

The Pop-Ups at the Portal series at the Trolley Portal Gardens is currently in full swing for the 2026 season. These free, all-ages music performances take place every Thursday through June 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 40th Street and Baltimore Avenue. Read more about this event here.
