Spruce Hill May Fair 2021 to be held virtually; Vendors invited to apply now

April 23, 2021

may fairThe annual Spruce Hill May Fair was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, but this year the organizers, Spruce Hill Community Association (SHCA), are bringing back the popular community event. The May Fair will be held virtually on Saturday, May 8, 4-8 p.m.

Local vendors, artists and craftspeople are invited to participate in the event free of charge. Community groups and organizations seeking to do outreach are also invited to be part of this event. Space is limited and priority will be given to local community organizations and artisans.

The virtual May Fair will be hosted on “Gather,” a virtual environment equipped with group video chat, games, and other tools to promote a sense of connection. A space representing Clark Park has been designed (see image below), and several vendors have already tested it!

If you want to be a vendor at the Spruce Hill May Fair, please check out the virtual fair space here. Also, please fill out and submit a vendor application here. Applications are due Sunday, May 2.

In the next few weeks, SHCA volunteers will be building business/vendor booths in the virtual fair space (see the screen shot below). Guests can visit any time (maximum capacity of 22 guests at a time) leading up to the live portion of the event with the maximum capacity of 1000 guests, which will take place on Saturday, May 8, 4-8 p.m.

Vendors who have been selected will be notified via email and will receive further instructions.

Look, I am a funnel cake vendor. It’s so delicious. People love it when they go to the fair or carnival. Beach food. People love the cotton candy with a hot dog. All ages come and laugh at the circus freaks and of course the hall of mirrors. Skinny lady, fat man. Just a family having some fun. I am a face painter. Meow! and Roar! Face painting is fun. People love it! All ages too.
