A terrible reminder of the need to be vigilant, especially when returning home at a late hour.

    Hope they catch the guy!

Unfortunate for her it wasn’t the hugger mugger:
TheFuzz9143: A 14 year old tried to rob a 26 year old by bear hugging him while telling him to give up his iPod. Guess who’s in jail…

Was there a struggle? It seems really excessive to stab someone for a cell phone when just showing her the knife would probably be enough.

  4. Mike Lyons Says:

Good question Dan. Police spokespeople give the barest facts possible. So without talking to the woman herself – whose name they would not release – it’s hard to know.

Does anyone know the status of this attack, and whether the police have a suspect? More importantly, is the girl ok?

  6. Amara Says:

This is the info TheFuzz had (victim’s gender incorrect).

TheFuzz9143: Description is poor on the stabbing. Best the officers could get from the complainant was 20/B/M 5’10 short hair, white t, running S/B on 45
TheFuzz9143: 400 S 45th 7-11 11:30pm, 18/A/M robbed point of knife for his phone. Was then stabbed 3 times in the back. Taken to HUP & is stable.

@Jess. It’s usually really difficult to get updates on victims. Police rarely give out names (unless the victim dies) and that makes checking on status in hospitals nearly impossible. We’ll keep trying though.
