A new movement and wellness studio, EveryBody Movement and Wellness, is officially opening next week at 4305 Locust Street, a space across from CVS.

Starting Monday, Oct. 7, EveryBody Movement and Wellness will offer a wide range of small group movement classes including Pilates, suspension training, high-intensity interval training, yoga, kettlebells, Barre, dance, and more. People of all sizes, ages, genders, and abilities are welcome. In addition to group classes in the main studio space, there is also a private Pilates room and a wellness room that is being used for a variety of mind-body modalities (massage, reiki, therapy, etc). Some classes will be offered on a sliding scale.

The studio will also offer after school and weekend movement classes for children – break dancing, yoga, tumbling, hip-hop, jazz, and ballet. Pickup from Lea and Penn Alexander schools can be arranged too during the week.

The studio is owned and operated by Julia Naftulin, a long-time West Philly resident who has been teaching Pilates at Studio 34 since 2008.

To celebrate its grand opening, EveryBody Movement and Wellness will host a family-friendly fundraiser for a local asylum-seeking family on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 3 – 6 p.m. at its location. Guests can enjoy free food from Jezabel’s Cafe, Lil’ Pop Shop, and The Restaurant School, activities for kids, a raffle, and free chair massage. All raffle proceeds will be donated to the Centeno Delgado family, an asylum-seeking family from El Salvador who have been living in West Philadelphia since early 2019 through their Go Fund Me page.
