The Black Women’s Health Alliance (BWHA) will be hosting the Healing Our Communities: Family Violence Prevention Symposium on Saturday, September 26, from 1 to 5 p.m. at OIC Philadelphia, 1231 N. Broad Street.
This free community event will bring together parents, families, professionals, and community members for conversations about family violence prevention, child and youth well-being, and strategies for strengthening families and creating safer, healthier communities.
The symposium will explore the potential impact of physical and emotional violence on children’s behavior and focus on practical, community-driven approaches to prevention. Attendees will have opportunities to participate in discussions, hear from community leaders, and connect with resources and referrals to support families beyond the event. Light refreshments will be available.
