The Woodlands is inviting neighbors, history buffs, and nature lovers to its historic grounds for its annual benefit on Thursday, June 11.

The evening serves as the largest fundraiser of the year for the 54-acre historic landmark. Funds raised during the event directly support the ongoing preservation of its sprawling canopy, historic 18th-century mansion, and diverse community programming—from the popular nature tours to community partnership events.

Where: The Woodlands, located at 4000 Woodland Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104

What: Join The Woodlands team for a party in celebration of one of West Philadelphia’s most active, significant, and well-loved places. Enjoy bites from local chefs, including Tabachoy + Manong, Pitruco, Lil Pop Shop, Local 44, Third Wheel Cheese Co., Em Wilson Pastry, Philly Cookie Co., and a silent auction—all while having the opportunity to fund critical needs at the cemetery.

For generations of West Philadelphia residents, The Woodlands has served as a vital urban sanctuary—acting simultaneously as an active cemetery, a historic site, an arboretum, and a cherished public green space. The annual benefit ensures the gates remain open daily for runners, dog walkers, and neighbors looking for a quiet retreat in the middle of the city.
