CHOP cardiac anesthesia technician Tyrone Hill is a Philadelphia native looking to give back this Holiday season. Each Friday, Tyrone rallies his coworkers – everyone from administrative staff up to the CEO of CHOP herself – to wear and donate fun, quirky socks on “Fun Socks Friday.” Each week, CHOP’s employee’s, with Tyrone, provide a fun and comfortable environment for young patients at the hospital. Tyrone has seen unprecedented support and is branching out from just fun socks.
This Saturday, Dec. 23rd, Tyrone will be giving out 100+ turkeys and groceries to give back to the Southwest Philadelphia community. Open to all, Tyrone hopes to make Christmas and the holiday a little less stressful for Philadelphians so they can focus on spending time with family and friends.
