Small local businesses are still feeling the impact of COVID-19, so here’s a great chance to support them as the popular West Philly restaurant promotion event returns with new dates and new deals. The 2021 University City Dining Days kicks off this Wednesday, Oct. 20 with more than 20 restaurants participating in the event. In addition to returning participants like Dock Street West, 48th Street Grille, and Renata’s Kitchen, new participants include Chengdu Famous Food, Kusina Philly, Woosa Bubble Tea, El Taco, Lulu Cafe and more.

This year, Dining Days will feature choices for takeout, outdoor dining, or indoor dining, where applicable. Available options include three courses for a set price, free add-ons for orders over a certain price threshold, and deals on make-at-home kits and takeout beer and cocktails.

The Dining Days will continue through October 31st. For a complete list of participating restaurants and specials, and to make reservations for outdoor or indoor dining, visit www.ucdiningdays.com.

Is anybody feeling hungry? University City is chock full of yummy chewy options. Whether your flavor is burritos or sushi, UC is like an upscale food court without the Taco Bell. I miss the Taco Bell that used to on Walnut Street. A caramel apple empanada and an A&W root beer float after working out at the gym up the street. Cooly cool! Cooly cool!
