Some favorite fall events return to The Woodlands (updated)

The Woodlands Cemetery and Mansion is bringing back some of its popular seasonal events, both for children and adults, after last year’s hiatus. Check out more info below about this year’s After Hours event, Halloween Family Fun Day and Halloween Cocktail Party. Also, bird lovers are invited to the Woodlands on Friday, Oct. 8 for an early morning bird walk (the event begins at 7:30 a.m.). This is a great chance to observe birds during fall migration. After Hours at The Woodlands

Friday, Oct. 15, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Have you been at the Woodlands after dark? Well, this is your chance to explore this historic cemetery and Hamilton Mansion after they close to general public. If this sounds spooky but interesting enough for you, read on. This year’s event will feature “Music at The Mansion,” an outdoor concert by the Philadelphia Viola Quartet, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Guests are invited to bring their chairs/blankets, picnics and drinks. The event is free for members; $10 for non-members. Register here.

Halloween Family Fun Day

Sunday, Oct. 24, 12-3:00 p.m.

This year’s Halloween Family Fun will feature a digital Halloween themed self-guided tour, and performances by Tangle Movement Arts and Karen Smith’s “Spiritual Atmospheric Cleansing.” The event is free and open to the public. UPDATE: All Hallow’s Read, a spooky book event, will return this year as part of the Family Fun Day. Please bring a spooky or seasonal book to swap. Readers of all ages and spooky costumes of all kinds are welcome. More info is here.

Mischief Night Members Cocktail Party

Thursday, Oct. 28, 5:30-8:00 p.m.

The spookiest party of the year is back! Woodlands members (21+) are invited to celebrate Halloween outdoors under a special Fall Event tent. Cocktails and light snacks will be provided, and BYO picnics are welcome. Click here for more info.

    I first saw this majestic mansion on MTV’s Cribs. Beautiful. Bam Margera was there ‘chilling out’. He got punked by Ashton Kutcher. The host of the show was outrageous (Ashton Kutcher)
