You can now check Philly’s daily COVID-19 vaccination status

January 4, 2021

As of Dec. 30, 24,390 partial doses of COVID-19 vaccines produced by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna were administered in Philadelphia, according to the data published by PennLive.

The Pa. Department of Health launched a new dashboard last week where you can check the number of COVID-19 vaccines administered daily in the state (total and by county). However, the dashboard only includes data on vaccine doses provided by the state. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health receives vaccine doses from the federal government and is keeping separate statistics, which you can view here

Philadelphia began COVID-19 vaccinations to health care workers on Dec. 16. Health care workers and residents and staff at nursing homes are the first two groups outlined for COVID-19 vaccine distribution in the city.

The number of new COVID-19 cases in the city has been falling over the past few weeks after a spike reported in November – from over 7,300 cases reported on the week of Nov. 29 to about 3,600 on the week of Dec. 20. As of Jan. 2, 93,885 Philadelphia residents have tested positive for the virus since the beginning of the pandemic and 2,450 Philadelphians have died.
