Curio Theatre has postponed their spring production, EVERYBODY, indefinitely. The show had been scheduled to open on April 25th and was supposed to conclude Curio’s 15th season.

“We take the safety of our community very seriously, and based on current health guidelines, we felt we had no other choice but to postpone,” reads an e-mail announcement from Curio’s Managing Director Gay Carducci and Artistic Director Paul Kuhn. “… Keeping our artists and staff safe is something we do not take lightly, but this was a difficult decision to make on behalf of an entire community — a decision that impacts actors, designers, and backstage theater makers.”

Before the show was postponed, Curio’a team – choreographers, stage managers, directors, lighting designers, stage designers, and more – had put in many hours preparing for the production.

In an effort to pay the artists for their work, Curio has created an Artist Relief Fund. Curio’s Board of Directors will match all donations to this fund up to $2,000 to double the impact of each donation. For anyone who reserved PAY-IT-FORWARD tickets for EVERYBODY and donated via CuriosiTix, Curio is asking to retain those funds for this effort.

In the meantime, Curio’s team and management are discussing how to make art “during this strange and stressful period” and also hope that one day EVERYBODY will return to the Curio stage.
