Azephra Hamilton, The Bicycle Coalition: “For this position we expect that people will work on their own time, possibly up to 5 hours a week close to the bike share launch date. This is when we plan to be having events with the bikes in the community and will need the biggest push.
However, we will not be tracking time and expect that people will work a lot less after bike share takes off. We will still have events through the summer but probably not as many.
I apologize for the confusion in the job description and will work to correct that.”

It might be helpful to note that the bike share program is now officially being called “Indego” (which I read about today on NewsWorks). Here’s their website: http://www.rideindego.com/about/

It was confusing to me that even on the Bicycle Coalition website, the word Indego is never mentioned, and at first it had me wondering if Bike Share and Indego were two different things. But I guess the new name is just a little too new to be referenced on all of the related websites.

It bothers me that brands appropriate the names of the city, like the market east station, and now Inde(-pendence)Go..

they are using that name because independence blue cross is sponsoring the program, but then if other company sponsors it in a couple of years its going to be called VeriGo?

…In my opinion they should just support the project and have some presence as sponsors, but not distort the identity of city-wide projects
