February 25, 2012

Very friendly Ferdinand has not been seen since early last weekend, and his family is very worried about him. If you have seen him, or picked him up thinking he was lost, please contact Daphne at 917 687 6428. Ferdinand knows his block well, and has never been off the premises for more than a few hours.

I’m really sorry to hear this. I’ve seen this cat a number of times on 43rd and osage. He walked over to me once. Up close i saw how dirty and unkempt he was. His eyes were puffy , nearly shut with swelling /possibly infection. I know this breed has issues, but whoever owned him was not caring for him.. I walked around for a about 20 minutes seeing where he was going, maybe walk home with him. Two guys either working on a house or unloading stuff eventually walked up to me and said his name was ferdinand and that hes fine.. I was a bit concerned he looked tired and sick. maybe im worng here, im not a vet, just an avid cat lover whos hung out with this breed a few times before. I also know this breed can sometimes be deaf from in breeding. What im saying is , i was worried for his safety in the fall turning winter looking sad and infected. 🙁 this makes me sad. The two guys assured me he had a home , and seemingly so based on this posting. I wouldnt say you didnt care for/love your cat. I reallly really hope you find him and love him up..Maybe he just loved the outdoors and had puffy gunky eyes. He was very friendly and i hope he comes back. Please give him a big nuggle and bath when he comes back. thank you , and no offense guys. love
