Pennsylvania is one of the most gerrymandered states in the nation. As a result, many voters are routinely disenfranchised and it has become an uphill battle to get the PA Legislature to represent the will of the people on issues that impact nearly every aspect of our lives.

On Thursday, April 27 from 7:00-8:30pm in Griffith Hall at USciences in West Philadelphia (600 S 43rd Street), Fair Districts PA (FDPA) will present “How to MakeYour Vote Count: Let’s End Gerrymandering in PA.”

The event will feature an FDPA speaker who will explain how partisan gerrymandering in Pennsylvania shapes election outcomes before the first vote is even cast, and what voters can do to ensure that state legislative and congressional district maps are drawn fairly. The event will include Q&A and a chance for people to connect with FDPA West Philly organizers.

The venue is convenient to public transportation (trolley lines 13 and 36; bus line 30). The venue seats 250 and is not wheelchair accessible.

Fair Districts PA is a project of the League of Women Voters. It is a nonpartisan coalition of individuals and organizations who are advocating for an amendment to the State Constitution to end gerrymandering in Pennsylvania.
