Who’s on the fringe of funny?

The most exciting new voices in American comedy come to Philadelphia for two days of provocative performances, irreverent stand-up, a podcast recording, and more. Offering over six hours of laughs and cringes each night, and blurring the lines between comedy and performance, this is not your average comedy festival.

Friday night features cheeky queer podcasters Food 4 Thot; delightfully grotesque Sarah Squirm; a new piece from alt-cabaret artist Erin Markey with Philly’s own Emily Bate; character genius Cole Escola (Difficult People)’s sketch show Quick! Pretend I’m Asleep!; plus a nightcap from sardonic chanteuse Catherine Cohen.

Saturday evening kicks off with sets curated by local comedy favorites Bechdel Test Fest and Good Good Comedy Theatre; Whitmer Thomas‘ stand-up/storytelling piece The Golden One; Twitter favorite and Daily Show correspondent Jaboukie Young-White; and our headliner, the ever-hilarious comedian, host, and actress Michelle Buteau (Late Night Whenever). Rapper/cabaret performer Champagne Jerry closes out the night in La Peg.
