A local West Philadelphia church, People’s Baptist Church located at 5039 Baltimore Ave., is inviting area residents to join them at a “Service of Solidarity” on Thursday, Aug. 17. The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

“Let’s stand together to show that we… as a community are united together against hate,” reads the event flyer signed by Pastor Eric Jadolyn Goode. “Let’s come together and talk about the recent protest in Charlottesville, Virginia… All are welcome.”

Just wondering. Will these events also denounce the alt-left and their violence? Let’s be honest. We had two hate groups meet in VA and according to police 80% of both groups were armed. I’m all for denouncing white supremacists called fascists but don’t hear much about the leftist anarchists.

You didn’t get the desired responses, I fear. You didn’t get any responses except Aplablap’s and he didn’t really say much. I’m sorry. You didn’t get anyone to write a response to your comment. And that must feel really whomp-whomp. You expressed a valid opinion and nobody affirmed or dissented. You are sort of out there on an opinion island except for Aplablap who just sort of stopped by on a dinghy and then left to rejoin his pleasure vessel. I fear that nobody responded to your comment.
