The line for wine

There were about 40 people in line outside of the liquor store at 49th and Baltimore at around 6 p.m. The store closes at 9 p.m. All PA Wine & Spirits stores will be closed tomorrow.

    What ever happened to the proposal for the liquor store to go in the Chesnut Street shopping center around 45th?

    @slugmother, the liquor store was approved by the Zoning Board. An appeal was filed by its opponents but will not stop the store from proceeding while the appeal processes. The porn store, which the liquor store will replace, has a message on its marquee advertising going out of business sale due to the loss of its lease. Apparently, the current tenant’s lease has not run out yet.
