pumpkinThanks to everyone who submitted pumpkins. Now it’s time for you, dear readers, to cast your vote for your favorite pumpkin in the 2011 West Philly Local Pumpkin Carving Contest. The “Readers’ Choice” winner will win two prizes from our sponsors: Aksum, Dock Street Brewery, Mariposa Food Co-op, Milk & Honey, VIX Emporium and Wake Up Yoga).

On Monday we’ll announce winners in the Scariest, Funniest, Philly-themed, and Kids categories, which will be decided by a crack panel of judges.

Check out the slideshow below or go to the Flickr gallery and jot down the number of the pumpkin you like best. Click on your choice to register your vote. The voting is open until 6 p.m. Monday. One vote per person.

2011 Pumpkin Carving Contest: Three days left to submit your snapshots. New sponsor: Wake Up Yoga

Update 2: The deadline for entry submissions has been extended until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Update: Wake Up Yoga has joined the list of our sponsors and is donating a gift card (5 class card, $65 value) to one of the winners.

 

There are only three days left to participate in our 2011 Pumpkin Carving Contest. We are accepting snapshots of your pumpkins until 6 p.m. Friday. Please email them to: editor[at]westphillylocal.com

Many thanks to everyone who already emailed their photos. But there has to be more of you out there. So what are you waiting for? Please get to work to give yourself a chance to win one of our awesome prizes. If you haven’t bought your pumpkin yet, we hear that Milk & Honey is selling them for 4 bucks a piece.

WPL’s 2011 Pumpkin Carving Contest underway

Dear readers,

Put your thinking caps on and sharpen your knives. We are looking for spooky, funny, scary or downright outrageous jack-o-lanterns. Our 2011 Pumpkin Carving Contest is underway and we are looking forward to receiving snapshots of your creations. The contest is open through October 28.
