This dog was found near 43rd and Spruce early this morning. He had no collar or tags on him, and no microchip was found when he was scanned. Please email us at editor@westphillylocal.com if you have any information about the dog’s owner, and we’ll connect you with the person who found the dog.

This dog was found on Monday night at 53rd and Spruce. He was reportedly hit by a car and has a few scrapes on his face and paw, but otherwise doesn’t appear injured. He’s a very young, thin, tan and white intact male. He was wearing a studded leather collar when he was found. The dog will be taken to the vet today to be checked and scanned for a chip. UPDATE: The dog named Charlie, who was found near Clark Park last week, has been reunited with her owner thanks to our reader who spotted and tweeted us this flier:

Charlie was found running in the middle of Baltimore Ave near Clark Park on Monday, Aug. 17 and lived with a foster family until her owner was found.

This pooch was found today on Springfield Ave between 47th and 48th.

UPDATE 2 (1/7/2015): We received a great update from the person who rescued the dog. The dog is now being fostered by a Project MEOW volunteer in West Philly and may be adopted!

UPDATE (12/30/2014, 12:30 p.m.): The dog has been picked up and is in foster care now. She doesn’t have tags or a microchip. She has minor abrasions, but otherwise is fine (not injured as it was reported earlier).

The person who is fostering the dog told us that she will try to keep her until her owner is found. If you have any information about the dog, or would like to contact this person please check out her Craigslist posting.

Earlier: A reader found this dog this morning outside West Philadelphia High School (49th and Chestnut). The dog’s leg appeared injured and he/she couldn’t be moved.

This cute little pooch was found tonight at 48th and Springfield. The person who found it was able to find a shelter for the dog for the night. The dog has a collar, but no tags.
