The 2024 tax season officially began yesterday, and the Campaign For Working Families (CWF) has again opened multiple sites across the city where families and individuals can get free state and federal income tax preparation services.

CWF now offers four tax filing options: in-person services, regular drop-off services, virtual drop-off services, and virtual services.

The sites are run by The Campaign for Working Families (CWF), a non-profit organization that provides free tax preparation to working families and individuals and helps connect them with valuable tax credits, such as child tax credits, EITC, childcare credits, and more.

If you earned less than $55,000 in 2019 you can get help preparing your taxes. Check out free tax preparation sites in West and Southwest Philadelphia below. No appointment is necessary at most sites (see listings for details). Customers are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Here you can find information on what documents you should bring with you. And just a reminder that the filing deadline for 2019 taxes is April 15, 2020.

The sites are run by the Campaign for Working Families (CWF) and serve families and individuals earning less than $54,000 per year.

CWF’s community based tax sites are offering such services as e-file, direct deposit, public benefits applications, and more. Their services allow families to maximize federal and state tax credits, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
