Today’s cat is Vanilla Bean. She is about one year old.
‘Nilla was abandoned when she was no longer a kitten. She tried to join up with a band of feral cats, but since she wasn’t feral, she kept dashing into the road. Luckily, she was found and now lives with a foster mom.
She is very playful, still a kitten, and she gets along with the two boys who live at her foster mom’s place, but they’re not kittens so they don’t want to play with her. She would love to go home with someone who will play with her.
“Nilla is not quite little kid proof yet (but learning!), so it’s better that any human kids in the home be about 8 or older. She doesn’t like to be held like a baby, but if you hold her right way up and give her head and chin scratches, she will love you forever.
What about her name? She’s not a Vanilla Bean, but that’s what foster mom’s human daughter called her and the name stuck. For now, you can call her ‘Nilla, but please don’t hesitate to change it.
Vanilla Bean is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, housetrained, flea treated, and FIV/FeLV negative. Please email projectmeowadoptions [at] gmail.com to meet her. Adoption application and adoption fee of $85 apply.

Frank
Today’s cat is Frank, a very handsome one year-old Lynx point Siamese, or perhaps a Siamese/tabby mix.
Frank was named after the most famous Frank of all (Sinatra!) because of his bright blue eyes and striking good looks. Whatever his lineage, he has the energy of a Bengal! Frank can be the sweetest and most loving kitty you’ll ever meet: He will wander over to you, walk all over you and almost swoon with purring.
Frank is young and very full of energy. He chases and wrestles with his foster brothers, and they chase and wrestle back. He knows how to play nice. He would do best in a home with another young, energetic cat with whom he could wrestle.
Frank is neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on vaccinations, and received flea/parasite treatment/preventative as needed.
For more information on the adoption process or to fill out an online application go to: www.citykitties.org. Adoption fee is $85 to help subsidize the cost of veterinary care.

Sonny
Today’s cat is Sonny, a 12-week-old orange tabby kitten.
Sonny is a very sweet and cuddly kitten. He purrs readily and loves to be petted. He is also playful, and enjoys chasing toys or wrestling with other kitties. Sonny is very gentle and would make a great companion for families with kids or other cats.
Sonny currently lives with his foster mom and three other cats, but his foster mom is moving cross-country in a couple of weeks, so he really needs a permanent home. Sonny is fostered through PAWS (www.phillypaws.org) and his adoption fee ($75) covers the cost of his microchip, shots, and neuter, which have all been taken care of at the PAWS Spay, Neuter, and Wellness Clinic.
To meet this adorable kitten please send an email to Sonny’s foster mom at: kathleenharbin [at] gmail.com.

The Boog
A 12-year old female cat, Hallie a.k.a. The Boog (short for “Boogie”), is looking for a new home. She needs to be in a home without other cats. The home where she is right now has a blended family of four cats which does not work well for her. The Boog would be happier with another loving owner.
The Boog is black, declawed, vocal and feisty but loves to hang out with you and sit on your thigh, facing outward, while you pet her. She’s on the plump side, but has no health problems.
The Boog is up-to-date on vet care, shots, etc. She loves ham, yogurt and edamame. She likes to know what you are up to. She needs focused attention but can be happy by herself as well. She will use a litter box as long as she is the only cat using it. She has no special dietary requirements.
If you are interested please contact The Boog’s current owner at: hippieflanders [at] gmail.com.

Eggroll
Today’s cat is Eggroll, a young and lovely dilute torbico (tortoiseshell + calico markings). She’s about one year old. She has rather pointy ears and nose, indicating that she may have a bit of Siamese in her.
Eggroll was rescued by a social worker on a rainy day. She was wearing a flea collar that was way too big — probably because she had lost so much weight fending for herself on the streets.
She is active and playful, but enjoys affection and cuddling, too. She shares a foster home with several other cats and a small dog, and she’s always trying to get them to play.
Eggroll would do well in a home by herself or with another playful cat or dog to keep her company. She’s ready to find her forever home today.
She is spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on vaccinations, and has received flea/parasite preventative/treatment as needed.
If you would like to adopt Eggroll, please fill out an adoption application here. The adoption fee is $85 to help subsidize the cost of veterinary care.

Today’s kittens are an adorable brother and sister pair, Johnny and Cherry.
The kittens were rescued from the streets of West Philly. Too young to fend for themselves, they were lucky to find a rescuer to take them in. Now they’re looking for a place to call home forever — preferably together.
Cherry (girl) and Johnny (boy) are both active, playful, and mischievous kittens who will keep you entertained for hours. Once playtime is over though, they’re just as happy to curl up and cuddle with you.
These kittens haven’t spent any time around dogs or kids yet, but they should do fine. They would probably do best in a home with older children.
Both kittens are spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on vaccinations (FVRCP and rabies), and received flea/parasite preventative medication and treatment as needed. Adoption application and $85 adoption fee (per animal) are required.
Adoption application is available online at www.citykitties.org.
If you would like to meet Johnny and Cherry, stop by the Baltimore Pet Shoppe (4532 Baltimore Ave). The kittens will be in the shop window until Saturday, July 9, and will be moving back to foster care after that.
