A summer-long themed series of free film screenings in the Haas Biergarten underneath the Ben Franklin Bridge. Enjoy dinner and drinks from La Peg outside and in or food from the outdoor Seafood Shack. Films are shown every Wednesday evening at 8:30 beginning on June 6th and ending on August 15th (excluding July 4th). This year, June’s theme is High School, July’s theme is ’90s Action Movies, and August’s theme is Summer Camp.

Mercy Philadelphia Hospital will host a Dine with the Docs event on Saturday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mercy Philadelphia Hospital Cafeteria at 501 South 54th Street, Philadelphia, Pa.
In honor of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, the theme of the event will be & Colorectal Cancer: Preventable, Treatable, Beatable.” Participants will learn about colorectal cancer, risk factors and treatment strategies from Ronald Concha-Parra, MD, at this free community event. The first 50 registered guests will receive a free FIT test, an at-home colorectal screening test.
Dine with the Docs is an educational series designed to create an open dialogue between Mercy Philadelphia Hospital physicians and members of the community about important health topics. Participants will receive a complimentary dinner. Registration is required for this event.

If you find a lost or stray dog, cat, or other household pet, ACCT (Animal Care and Control Team) Philadelphia are the most likely to be able to take a found animal. You can visit http://www.acctphilly.org/foundpet/ for more information. Make sure to fill out the ACCT Found Pet Report: http://www.acctphilly.org/foundpet/foundreport/. If you can’t keep the animal until its family can be located, ACCT will accept it at their central location. They are not a no-kill shelter. Continue Reading
