Philadelphians near and far are invited to kick off the holiday season at the annual Rittenhouse Square Holiday Park Lighting. The Holiday Park Lighting is a Philadelphia favorite that includes family-friendly activities and musical performances leading up to the lighting of the 30-foot holiday tree. More than 400 Philadelphia residents gather to watch this magical event. The holiday park lights continue to be illuminated every night through the end of December.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of music including performances by Philly Pops, In the Mix, Singin’ Bohemians, Mummers Greater Overbrook String Band and more. In addition, in partnership with the Friends of Rittenhouse Square, TD Bank, Parc, and Constellation Culinary will be providing holiday treats. The ceremony will also be attended by city officials including Mayor Jim Kenney.
