Give Kids Sight Day: Free Vision Screening for Philadelphia Area Children

Wills Eye Hospital will host its 16th annual Give Kids Sight Day on Saturday, October 4. This initiative allows uninsured and underinsured children in the Greater Philadelphia area to get access to vision care including eye glass prescriptions. Day-of walk-in appointments are welcome.

Children ages 6 – 17 from Philadelphia and surrounding counties will be screened by volunteers. Children will receive a same-day vision exam and eyeglasses prescription. Kids will pick out two free glasses frames courtesy of the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, which will then be made to their specific prescription and available for pickup at a separate event later this fall.

The event is hosted in partnership with Thomas Jefferson University, the School District of Philadelphia, and the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation.
