Parktoberfest returns to Clark Park with high spirits and an exciting Master Plan update

October 7, 2026

Spruce Hill’s favorite fall celebration is back! The annual Parktoberfest brings the neighborhood together for an afternoon of local brews, music, and community connection at Clark Park. Organized by the Friends of Clark Park, the event serves as a vital fundraiser to support ongoing care, beautification, and programming for one of West Philly’s most cherished green spaces. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, transforming the park into a vibrant autumnal gathering space for neighbors of all ages.

All proceeds from beverage sales and donations directly benefit the Friends of Clark Park to fund year-round maintenance, tree planting, and public programming.

Major Update on the Clark Park Master Plan

In addition to the festivities, this year’s Parktoberfest marks a major milestone for the future of the park. State Rep. Rick Krajewski recently announced securing an additional $800,000 state grant for the Clark Park Master Plan. Coming on the heels of $1 million in state funding announced in July, this brings the total state grant funding secured by Rep. Krajewski’s office for the project to $2 million.

The latest investment will help replace the dilapidated sidewalks throughout the park, which will improve traffic flow between park features and accessibility for the park’s visitors.

During the event, the Friends of Clark Park will host a special presentation sharing the broader progress on the Clark Park Master Plan, which focuses on long-term stewardship and improvements across all sections of the park.
