Angelita Byrd, a Philadelphia native and the author of “With Love, I Let Go: A Journey Back to Self,” will present an event titled “Self-Love is the Real Valentine.”
This Valentine’s Day gathering will center on emotional healing, self-worth, and redefining love from the inside out. It will include an author talk, open dialogue, and book signing designed to create a safe space for reflection and connection within the community.
This event is part of a larger mission Ms. Byrd has committed to helping heal 100,000 Black women for 2026 through storytelling, sisterhood, and community-centered conversations. “Hakim’s has long been a cornerstone of Black literature and culture in West Philly, and I’m honored to bring this healing conversation into that sacred space.”
