The Enterprise Center to distribute free turkeys and coats at Malcolm X Park; Registration required

November 14, 2025

The Enterprise Center CDC will host a Turkey and Coat Drive on Friday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Malcolm X Park (51st and Pine) to provide relief to local families in need as they navigate between rising grocery prices, mass layoffs, and cuts to SNAP. The Enterprise Center CDC announced that the drive will support 300 families and will focus on West Philadelphia residents.

Each family will receive a complete Thanksgiving meal kit including a turkey, corn, gravy, stuffing, yams, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce, butter, and cornbread mix. Residents will also have the option of receiving a coat and other winter attire, including a sweatshirt, hat, socks and gloves.

Families interested in receiving a Thanksgiving meal kit and/or a coat can register for the drive in advance online or by calling 215-895-4000 and leave their name and number Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. If calling before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m., they can leave a voicemail and someone will call them back to confirm their RSVP. There will be a limited number of Thanksgiving meal kits available for walk ups the day of the event.

Individuals and organizations interested in donating coats and other winter attire to the drive can do so by purchasing them online or dropping off items at the Enterprise Center offices located at 277 South 52nd St and 4548 Market St. All coats and winter attire should be in new condition. No food donations will be accepted.
