Summer is here with some record-breaking temperatures in the forecast for this week. But here’s some good news. More than 60 public pools will be open this summer throughout the city and many of them have already opened or are scheduled to open this week. The West Philadelphia pools that have already opened include:

• Kelly Pool (4231 Lansdowne Dr.)

• Fletcher Pool (743-81 N 48th St.)

• Shepard Pool (5700 Haverford Ave.)

Here’s the opening schedule for other pools located in West Philly:

Thursday, June 26

• Lee Pool (4328 Haverford Ave)

Saturday, June 28

• Butch Ellis Pool (39th & Olive)

All open pools offer public swim from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Pool schedules and hours vary based on available staffing. Additional public swim hours vary by site.

Please note that Kingsessing Pool (49th and Kingsessing) and Myers Pool (58th and Chester) will not be open for the Summer 2025 season due to ongoing renovations and repairs.
