Pick up a gift for your Valentine while you join world-renowned ice sculptor Peter Slavin and Philadelphia’s own Fear No Ice team February 11 in Chestnut Hill for a revamped Valentine’s on Ice celebration. From noon-5pm, visitors to Chestnut Hill can view nearly 20 custom ice sculptures crafted by Fear No Ice, the world’s first and only performance ice sculpting company. Fear No Ice will sculpt and perform live along Germantown Ave during the celebration. At Laurel Hill Gardens, visitors are welcome to check out the Arctic Village, an ice village complete with polar bears and an igloo. If the weather starts to get a little chilly, stop by a “Heart-Warming Station” for wine and cheese tastings, fire pits, hot beverages, and snacks. This event is free, and taking place mostly between the 7900 and 8600 blocks of Germantown Avenue.
