Cliveden of the National Trust

The 2016 Revolutionary Germantown Festival will be taking place at Cliveden, 6401 Germantown Ave. on Saturday, October 1, 10am – 4pm with Reenactments of the Battle of Germantown at Noon and 3pm. In addition to the battle reenactments, the day includes programs, presentations, kids’ activities, suttlers, a beer garden, food vendors, and this year there will also be opportunities to meet George Washington and the little known Elizabeth Thompson, who served as General Washington’s cook and housekeeper for his military household from 1776 – 1781.
