The Gold Standard Cafe located on Baltimore Avenue in West Philadelphia, is proud to exhibit work by Artist Melissa Jones. In this show, experimental Black and White darkroom prints are paired along side color photographs created on a pocket device, these compositions only show us a small piece of a much larger idea. The black and white photographs are created using a technique known as Rayograph’s (made popular by Man Ray in the 1920’s). These dream-like images seem to be in limbo between worlds, drawing on your imagination. When these two groups interact with each other you begin to sew in a new narrative.
Come Tuesday July 5th and wind down after that holiday weekend to this compelling group of Photographs by Melissa Jones.
