Join us to celebrate Halloween at The Woodlands on Sunday, October 21st from 12pm – 3pm. Explore the cemetery on a site-wide scavenger hunt, get spooky with activities, and learn more about some of our most notable residents. This event is free and open to the public.
Halloween Family Fun Day Details:
HALLOWEEN SCAVENGER HUNT – ALL DAY
ALL HALLOW’S READ: SPOOKY BOOK SWAP – ALL DAY Discover books about monsters, pumpkins, goblins, oh my! Seasonal reads will be hidden in age-appropriate sections throughout part of the cemetery. Find the Riddle Monument to join the fun!
MINI MUTTER MUSEUM POP UP – ALL DAY Staff from the Mutter Museum will be here with objects and specimens (that you can touch!) from their teaching collection. Find them in the Hamilton Mansion.
BIRD WALKS WITH TORIBIRD – 12:30pm and 2:00pm Explore our resident birds with Tori Bird! Walks are about 20 minutes and will take place on the paved road and some brick paths through the cemetery grounds.
PET COSTUME CONTEST – JUDGING AT 2:30pm Dress up your pet and show them off to the crowds at Halloween Family Fun Day! Costumes will be judged by students from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood. Walking, biking, and use of public transportation are highly recommended.
