During June 30th – July 1st, Group Motion will celebrate its rich history with a weekend of festivities that brings together past and present generations of Group Motion’s family and friends. Included will be a combination of performances by alumni company members and collaborators, mega workshop a la Friday nights, book launch ceremony, and party.
For 50 years, artistic co-directors of Group Motion Brigitta Herrmann and Manfred Fischbeck have contributed greatly to the Philadelphia dance community and beyond with their choreography and collaborations of original work. They touched the lives of countless people through their performances and workshops, which include national and international residencies, retreats, and the weekly Friday Night Workshops at the Community Education Center.
