Pennsylvania has the most inequitable school funding system in the country, and our neighborhood public schools in West Philly are suffering. Overcrowded and crumbling buildings, too few teachers and staff, and anxious parents are the result of a system that takes resources away from where they are needed most.

On Tuesday, March 26th at 7:00 p.m., join the West Philly Coalition for Neighborhood Schools to hear a presentation from Dan Urevick-Ackelsberg of the Public Interest Law Center, which is campaigning to fix this unfair system. We will also be joined be Shanée Garner, Director of Policy and Legislation for Councilmember Helen Gym for perspective on local advocacy efforts, and will conclude with a roundtable discussion by parent organizers in West Philly neighborhood public schools. Meeting will take place at the Calvary Center for Culture and Community at 48th and Baltimore.

Come get informed, get motivated, and help brainstorm ways we can work together!
