West Philadelphia Orchestra (WPO) and the Philadelphia Women’s Slavic Ensemble (PWSE) are proud to present their THIRD annual Balkan at Bartram’s Garden celebration June 16th from 6pm-9pm! Come join them at North America’s oldest surviving botanic garden for live performances of Slavic folk music and Balkan tunes… replete with some Philly flair, of course.
Eat an authentic dinner—a Slavic meal is being served starting at 6pm. There are limited number of meal tickets available, so try to reserve ahead of time. Look fierce—build a personalized flower crown with PWSE. Dance—learn some traditional steps to use during WPO’s set.
This is a great event for celebrating—be it a grad or a dad—or simply to spend some quality time with your neighbors in one of Philly’s most beautiful outdoor settings. This event will be happening rain or shine, with plenty of cover if the rain does decide to fall!
