“Playing music for children and other childlike people, their spirited harmonies and clever, concise songwriting will tickle the fancies of both children and adults alike. The folksy duo write music that songfully advocates for positivity, social justice, and silliness!” -Philadelphia Folksong Society

The PB&J audience will get a special sneak peek of some music from the Ants’ upcoming original musical! CURIOUS (think outside the pipeline) is the Ants’ first musical, and is a fun, feminist, eco-minded exploration of clean energy and kids who have big ideas. The Ants received a Leeway Foundation Art and Change Grant to help produce this show, which will be Nov 13 and 19 at the Rotunda.

Ants on a Log is Julie Beth and Anya Rose. The folksy duo write music for children and other childlike people, songfully advocating for positivity, social justice, and silliness! You may have heard the Ants on XPN’s Kids Corner, and last summer they were featured on the Kids Corner stage at the Philadelphia Folk Fest.

In their off-stage lives, Julie is a music therapist and Anya is an elementary science teacher. Their powers combined make for smart and socially conscious folk, mostly originals with some must-know classics. Their harmonies and rhythmic play are a delight for children (and grown children!) of all ages.
