‘PHilthy Paws’ self-serve pet wash opens at 47th and Baltimore

September 17, 2019

Did you know that you don’t have to wash your dog alone at home, in your bathtub or sometimes even your kitchen sink? You can do it in a specially made tub while socializing with other dog owners. And after you’re done, you don’t need to clean up all the mess. That’s what a self-serve pet washing shop, “PHilthy Paws”, which has just opened at 47th and Baltimore, is for.

In addition to the tub, PHilthy Paws also provides tools to clean your animal (shampoos, brushes, dryers, and more) that are included in your fee – ranging from $12 to $18 per wash, depending on the size of your pet. Dogs as large as 100+ pounds are welcome, too.

The business is locally owned. Owner Palma Marinas has over 40 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry and is also an animal lover and longtime pet owner, including saving strays in the neighborhood.

The store is open on Tuesday-Friday 10:00 a.m.-7 p.m., and on Saturday 11:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; closed Sunday and Monday.

If you’re planning to use their services, please first reserve a tub by calling 215-727-PAWS (7297) or online. For more information, visit: philthypaws.com.
