The 46th Ward is missing its label on the linked map– for anyone reading and looking, it’s the one that’s just west of 27 and just north of 51 (and south of 60 and east of 3.)

The baby boom generation has put faith in the “new”candidate for over 50 years, yet the median income for certain groups has, in terms of today’s dollar, been stuck at 1970s level.
Get commitments for your vote to assure several apprenticeship positions in EVERY craft on City funded construction projects. Demand inclusion on the lucrative retail sites at the taxpayer funded ($8.00 hotdog)Airport.
Get some answers on the Bond issues that often fund the interests of political patrons, enrich the connected underwriters and multiply Municipal debt for our children. Ask her plans to “Get The Rich Off Our Backs” by abolishing the tax abatement which devastated school funding and was enacted so Developers could guarantee the wealthy a loophole out of paying their fair share. The list goes on but this is a start.

Gauthier promises to just be another fuzzy thinking liberal, making lots of promises but without any idea how the City can afford to pay for them. If she wins and since she doesn’t support term limits, west Philly will be once again stuck with a councilwomen who views her job as a long term career not public service. Gauthier scares me, and I can’t believe I might actually vote for Blackwell. Who is putting up all the cash for this well run Gauthier campaign?

I would like to learn how Mrs Gauthier would do things differently. We need something radically different that what is going on. Not from West Philly, but applicable to the whole area, the Center City District just released their “State of the City” yearly report. Sobering, to say the least. We are growing but at a lower rate than most comparable cities. Fewer jobs (21%!!!!) that in 1970. Poverty rate second only to Detroit.

It is my hope that this candidate will clean the dirty streets of West Philly. I have grown tired of the constant calls to J. Blackwell’s Office. Very often you don’t see these candidates until it is time to run for office. There is a play ground in Mill Creek that is in an extreme need of repair. It starts on Westminister to Wyalysing Ave in the 5100 block. The other issue real estate taxes jumping 200 dollars in one year. We need a real hands on person dedicated to the PEOPLE of WEST PHILLY.

@ Red Dog: I’ve spoken with Jamie Gauthier and she emphatically supports term limits. Where did you hear that she doesn’t support term limits?
