A 17-year-old boy was stabbed several times by an older man on Tuesday afternoon, at about 4:15 p.m., on the 4900 block of Walton Avenue, according to police. Police say the teen was stabbed three times in the chest, once in the ribs, and once in the leg. He was found on the sidewalk and was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.
When he was found the victim told police that he had been stabbed by an unknown male “after they exchanged looks.” Police couldn’t interview the teen at the hospital as he was going into surgery.
The suspect was described as a man with brown complexion in his 30’s, thin build, about 5 feet 8 inches, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

I really hope someone saw something and reported this. A man in a white tee shirt in broad daylight stabs a boy 4 times, leads me to thinking that this man was covered in blood as he continued down the street.
This is terrifying.

This is insane. I hope that the police give updates. I am so sorry for the boy. If there are updates or ways to help as a community please give them. His blood was all over the sidewalk when they were standing guard outside of the house for hours afterwards.

What’s terrifying is the lack of police presence that allows for the very obvious open air drug market in Walton, and wrapping around to the Chinese food spot on Catherine. This didn’t need to happen. Neighbors know star goes on.
Try walking in to the Chinese spot with out tripping over a drug dealer.

It will get worse. So lawmakers give thugs a break, they can get high, get a ticket if they have ID on them, which is rarely. Now they can get drunk and disorderly and again, only get a ticket if they have ID on them. And what do thugs do when they get high and drunk? Philadelphia law makers are creating Sodom and Gomorrah.
