Each fall the Philadelphia Open Studio Tours (POST) provide a unique opportunity to meet local artists and learn more about their work. Artists who live and work west of the Schuylkill will open their homes and studios for POST tours this weekend (Oct. 17 & 18), and everyone is welcome to visit them. There will be exhibitions and special demonstrations.

Also, independently of the POST Tours, long-time West Philadelphia artists, Philip Zuchman and Deborah Gross-Zuchman, are opening their home and studios for a Studio Sale on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17 and 18 and Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24 and 25 from 1-5 p.m. at 4724 Springfield Avenue. Philip is a versatile artist, who works with oils, encaustics, mixed media and sculpture. Deborah is a native Philadelphian who taught art in the Philadelphia Schools for 35 years and then worked as a Project Manager for nine years at the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program. Her oil paintings represent the many places she has traveled to as well as studio work. Come and enjoy meeting these two creative artists in their unique living and working spaces.
