Several job opportunities are currently available in the area. Here’s a roundup.

Part-time Administrative Assistant (temporary position): WePAC is looking for a part-time administrative assistant (10 hours per week). It is a temporary position (through June 30, 2015) supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of an agile, growing non-profit organization which serves 13 public elementary schools through library and literacy programs in West, Southwest Philadelphia and the Roxborough neighborhoods. Full-time Baker: The Green Line Cafe, a family-owned and operated coffeehouse business with five locations in West Philadelphia, has an immediate opening for a full-time weekday baker. The baker reports to the kitchen manager and is responsible for the daily morning production and delivery of the Cafe’s line of house-baked products that include muffins, scones, brownies, and other items. Construction Administrative Assistant: A construction administrative assistant helps executives roll out workplace initiatives, as well as administrate daily affairs and assists other administrative staff with overflow work. Common job requirements include sorting mail, answering phones, taking messages and following up with customers. Administrative assistants also organize meetings, arrange travel and manage records. Key duties/responsibilities include: maintaining all office correspondence; keeping in touch with the head/corporate office; scheduling meetings, setting appointments and taking care of meeting details. Construction Project Office / Field Engineer: Job purpose of a project office/ field engineer is to assists in supervising field employees assigned to construction discipline work area. This is an entry level construction engineering position which will provide exposure to various aspects of Field and Office Engineering. Key duties/responsibilities of Construction field engineer include: providing engineering and administrative support for projects in various stages of design and construction; assisting with analysis of proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents; conducting takeoffs to help estimate project costs. Part-time Bike Mechanic (temporary position): PennCycle, Penn’s student-run bike rental service, is looking for an experienced bike mechanic to work on their fleet this summer.
