I wonder what the one kid did to the other two so that he got neither of the 2 bikes nor 2 guns. It hardly seems fair to me.

I wonder what the two victims did to the three baddies….It hardly seems fair to me.

No. They were very specific with the color of the guns. We, as responsible citizens, should know that if a group of black males between the ages of 18 and 20 pull specifically black handguns, that they are up to no good and should be reported to the authorities immediately.

Come on guys, the description is at least a help in connecting crimes together if the culprit is caught, even if the identification is seemingly useless in IDing people on the street as suspects.
The man who robbed me at gunpoint was caught (robbing an undercover cop) in the exact same hoodie and with the same type and color gun described.

I’m sad to hear that these young people were robbed at gunpoint. However, I admire the bravado of the young man chasing down his belongings and fighting one of them. I think that everyone should take self-defense classes from ages 6-76. And, I hate to say this, but no one should be out walking at 12:45am. This is a harsh reality of living in the city. At that time of the night, I would drive (Zipcar), take a taxi, or stay home.

Victim blaming held off until the sixth comment. Great job everybody!

Hope the robbers enjoy their mandatory minimum sentences.

Not only were they walking at night (!), but they were carrying their belongings. Come on, people, think about it. If you don’t have your phone/backpack/laptop/purse/wallet/jewelry/shoes with you when you are out and about, then those things won’t get stolen. By avoiding being outside at night and avoiding carrying anything of value on you whenever you are outside (during daylight hours), you make it very unlikely that you’ll have anything stolen from you. These are simple, basic precautions. It’s actually a pretty safe neighborhood for people who stay inside and never face a home invasion.

Who cares, people get robbed everyday, life goes on

Not a fan of capital punishment, but a good public flogging might be in order for these creeps.
